About the Chamber
The
Saginaw Area Chamber of Commerce has
adopted an aggressive Program of Work, which
is focused on three primary program areas.
[MEMBER SERVICES]
Innovative
features and benefits are designed to enhance your
membership investment.
The Chamber focuses on networking and marketing
opportunities, better communications, and
other benefits that increase your bottom line.
In the next year
we, with your help, will strive to achieve similar
results in your individual market areas.
[ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT]
The
Economic Development Council, working with the City
of Saginaw and other entities, will strive to increase
and
recruit new business to the area and serve the existing
business community. Recently the SACC spearheaded
an initiative with a regional partnership to create
a
Leadership Program. The Chamber voices the concerns
of the business community on important local,
state and national legislative issues. SACC continues
to actively support and work enthusiastically with
the
school district on business-to-education partnerships
in supporting and improving our school system,
including the Texas Scholars program.
[FUNDRAISING]
Successful
execution of our mission and goals is totally dependent
on the support of our
members. It is a high priority of the Chamber to
expand existing fundraising projects such as the
Annual Awards Banquet, North Texas Western Days
and Taste of Northwest Business Expo which in turn
supply the funding necessary to execute our mission.
The SACC Board also has a goal to carefully evaluate
and review all of our programs and projects for effectiveness
and their impact on the Chamber’s overall
mission and financial objectives.
